Sometimes if you see an opening, you have to take it. Such was the case last weekend when a few of us decided to wade fish Ft. Pierce. I’ve come to the realization that any spot that a non boat owning dirtbag, such as ourselves, can access is beat to death. So we decided to take matters into our own hands.
Mikie with his first red on artifical.
The new secret spot.
Brandon with his 32nd stingray of the day. “Why do I always catch the shit with whiskers, and will sting you?!?” – Brandon
I’d like to thank St. Lucie County mosquito control (and their lack of using a lock), and all those who lost their ass when the bottom fell out of the housing market. At the end of the day we left with a red, trout, and about 472 empty beer cans.

Where there is a will there is a way!! Good job
hey can you please tell me where this location is please i want to look for a good redfish spot and this place looks perfect can you please email me the location for me and my friend to fish.
If you can prove you are worthy of such information, my compatriots might just be generous enough to leak vital and crucial information as the whereabouts of said location. What do you say dakotah do you think that is a good idea because i thinks its a great idea what do you fish with who are your friends do they have cool names like yours if you had to be north or south dakotah which would you be this is fun.
Hey Clinton I fish with a shimano spinning reel and a 6′ star rod and if you were talking about lures I fog with DOA stuff also mirrolure stuff I fish with my friend and his name is skyler and if I had to be north or south Dakota I would be both also isn’t this bear point in ft pierce or is it somewhere else now Clinton what kind of lures do you use for different fish species
Fish not fog
Also Clinton do you know any good wade fishing spots in the Vero beach Sebastian and ft pierce area that will actually catch fish I would like to try wade fishing
Dakodah,
The areas in this post are just south of bear point. I can’t really give specifics, just keep an eye out for open areas on undeveloped land. BUT, I will say that property owners might get pissed if they see you there. The spot where the Red was pulled from is top secret, sorry. We got real tired of the areas along A1A where wade fishing was permitted. They’re just beat to death with people fishing there. Another suggestion is if you have a smartphone, use google maps and explore. That’s part of the fun. And don’t beg for permission, beg for forgiveness. Good luck, and thanks for visiting The New Angler!
Ok thx mike can I ask one more question what kind of bait or lures were you guys using
We were using Gulp 3″ new penny shrimp on a jig and live shrimp under popping corks. With the occasional top water lure.
Thx
