Calling Steve Irwin

At the risk of being in poor taste (which is kind of what we do here at The New Angler), we have decided to ask the question; Are there any Steve Irwin, Jr.’s/wannabe’s out there that want to tackle the task of being a Crocodile Hunter (Crocodile Response Agent)? If so, click HERE for details. At $25 an hour, sounds like a pretty sweet gig. Especially if you get to live/stay in the Middle and Upper Keys (and didn’t have to step foot in Miami). Unfortunately a large portion of Florida natives aren’t eligible to apply, as a “clean criminal record is required”.

Now that I know who “Wall Street Smoke” is, there is no way that gentleman could apply.
None of us can.
Man i want that crocodile slayer job! That shit would be rad. Does clean record mean no felonies? Or no EVER being caught having any fun at all? Good luck finding a man willing to wrestle a crocodile that’s never wrestled with a few 5.0′s
Jason.. you would be correct, however, although not forgotten, the great state of Florida has taken it upon itself to exponge many of my past vagrancies.
Now I won’t be the person to explain exponge or even act like I care enough to go into detail on why a few “indifferences of opinion” of the law matter so much to the powers that be incharge of hiring said Crocodile Response Agents.
But I will say this… any man or woman (and most who enjoy The New Angler), who hasn’t taken on a few aliases, identities or shifted a paper trail once or twice to stay in the good graces of Uncle Sam isn’t trying hard enough to live the “New Angler” dream.
Yours Truly,
Travis Lowe (wink wink)
$25 an hour part time. Part time, as in 2.5 hours a month most likely. I’d be game but I know what rent goes for in Monroe County.
Smoke,
You could not be more correct my friend. I think all of us associated here have more in common than fishing and “the six degrees of Brian Alford”. Actually, I think I might have contributed to some of your delinquincies back when you had not quite turned 21!
